This wedding invitation with vellum overlay was inspired by the botanical illustrations of Pierre-Joseph Redouté (1759-1840). I’m thinking of adding a hand deckled edge to the printed piece to really give it the feel of something Mr. Redouté would have would with in the late 18th century. It’s hard to believe that my letterpress printing can be combined with today’s full colour digital allowing for this blend of styles spanning 259 years!!
