Please note:
I recommend to use the wax inside the envelope: with double envelopes or as decoration inside the envelope on a belly band or wrap like vellum.
This will ensure your mail arrives in nice condition.
Inclusions in the wax, like small dried flowers or leaves can get crushed by postal machines and should only be done for hand delivery.
Canada Post:
1. there is a 5mm thickness and 30 gram weight limit for standard letter mail, otherwise it will be considered oversize and cost extra. Wax on the outer envelope usually falls in the oversize or special handling category and pricing.
2. if you choose to put wax seals on the outside of the envelope, they must be brought directly to a Canada Post service desk, never put into a letter box, where they will be processed as Special Handling for Manual sort, hence the extra cost previously mentioned.
